THE HANGMAN | Unofficial Trailer
An indie horror trailer I crafted, a testament to atmospheric storytelling and innovative visual techniques. This project captures a sense of dread and suspense through meticulously crafted scenes and chilling transitions, enhanced by the effective use of simple white text on a black backdrop. While the atmospheric tension is palpable, I am refining the dialogue to further elevate the narrative impact.
The Terminator 40th Anniversary Unofficial Trailer
Focusing on the hero vs. machine narrative and the quest to save Sarah Connor. Witness the arrival of a terrifying, prototype Terminator on a relentless mission in 1984. Will Sarah Connor survive? For the soundtrack I used the heart pounding song Game Over by Chris Haigh
The Redemption of Red: A Shawshank Escape
With Red as the central character and Andy as a background figure. My edit uses narration from the film to create a different perspective on the story. Additionally, I incorporated visual references using footage from the film Street Smart featuring a younger Morgan Freeman to connect with Red's narrative. For the soundtrack, I selected Time by Hans Zimmer, my favourite composer, whose music perfectly underscores the emotional depth and journey of Red.
The Last Laugh: A Joker Origin Story
I used an unconventional soundtrack choice here because it is a powerful piece that evokes a sense of gritty intensity, industrial chaos, and a relentless undercurrent of violence. I also colour graded the trailer with a hint of darker blue to enhance the eerie and sombre atmosphere. This perfectly aligns with the tone I wanted to establish for the trailer, which explores the dark and unsettling world of the Joker. I believe it grabs viewers attention and sets the stage for a truly unsettling and thrilling experience.
Journey to Parenthood: A Pregnancy Announcement
Filmed on a Sony ZV-1 with a simple tripod setup, this short film begins with a copyrighted intro creatively customized. Through meticulous colour grading for warmth and seamless transitions between scenes, the narrative unfolds, a journey years in the making. The climax reveals a cherished baby scan picture, the camera gently panning against a backdrop of serene nature. As the story concludes, rolling credits and snapshots of the happy couple complete this memorable announcement.
